Will you move to Ubud and live in the Garden of Friends when the time is right?
The purpose of the Garden of Friends is to give shelter to our friends in Ubud and their family when they retire. The purpose is also to have a place to stay when we travel to Bali to visit our friends. At a later stage we will also welcome guests from abroad as our friends. There are a lot of things going on in our life in Europe. An we still have time to decide where we want to live at a later point of our life.
What is it with Erich?
Erich lives with a genetic condition called Myotonic Dystrophy. This is a progressiv degenerativ muscular disease. You might like to read more about it on the link-page.

Why does it take so long to build up the Garden of Friends (Taman Teman)?
We and our friends live on two different continents and in different cultures. Our common vision is to have a place to stay and to live with friends when the time is right to go home. Having bought a beautiful piece of land in 2012 allows us to build a shelter for our friends to live in. Over the time we will ad structures to meet the European needs and standards so that we can also welcome guests from abroad. This takes a lot of time-consuming planning and financial resources.
Do you have a (web)shop for your products in Switzerland?
We have been thinking about that. A shop could boost our selling and generate more money to build on our land in Ubud. We also know that most of our products are truly unique and that they have their own history: Fabrics must be touched and colours must be seen. This experience would be lost it we would just ship the items away. So we have chosen to offer our collection to thouse who would like to visit us in private and who are interested in learning more about our products and about the way they are being produced and used.
